Dr. Godar received his undergraduate college degree from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C. He subsequently received his Medical Degree from The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed a Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at St. Louis University Group of Hospitals and Cardinal Glennon Children”s Hospital, and he is Board Certified in (Adult) Internal Medicine and in Pediatrics.
For many years Dr. Godar provided both outpatient (office) and Inpatient (hospital) services, but in recent years he has been working as a hospitalist, providing inpatient services only. After listening to patients, who told him that acupuncture helped them when western medicine alone did not, he decided to learn more about acupuncture and eastern healing techniques 25 years ago. He first studied acupuncture under Dr. Anita Cignolini at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, and subsequently completed the Helms Acupuncture for Physicians Intensive course at the Helms Medical Institute. He has subsequently completed many hours of advanced acupuncture training over the years. His extensive background in both western and eastern medicine affords him the ability to understand both worlds to find the best individualized eastern treatment options for his patients.
Dr Godar lives with his wife, Marita, and dog, Max, in Eagle, Colorado. They love getting out in nature, gardening and hiking, and of course practicing Qi Gong..
